Welcome to the Lordsbridge Team
Monthly Newsletter
September 2023
God of the seasons,
we give you thanks
for the rhythm of life
by which our days are set.
As day follows night
so harvest follows seedtime
and we receive once more
the provision of our Creator.
From summer to winter
we are blessed by the crop
of his lavish abundance
which delights and sustains
throughout every season.
Lord of the harvest,
we give you thanks
for your covenant provision
by which our needs are met. Amen

Spotlight on…
Cafe Church in Caldecote
Café Church is a brand new gathering, meeting every third Sunday in the Village Hall, Highfields Caldecote, from 3-4pm. It has been good to meet lots people who live in the village, including young people and Ukrainian families. We meet in the afternoon for coffee, cake, music, craft activities and a bible story. It is a space for friendship, prayer, worship, and a place to make new friends and to discuss faith and life. Families and children in particular have enjoyed coming to participate in activities and music.

In June, we had great fun junk modelling boats using plastic tubs, paper and straws, thinking about Paul’s adventures in the Mediterranean. The boats were then carefully taken outside and placed in a giant paddling pool, and with the help of some of the young people, we attempted to shipwreck the tiny crafts. All but one sunk! The winner was the little boat with the triangle sail and yellow straw much to the delight of its creator! All are most welcome to come and join us.
