Lordsbridge Online

Over recent years the Lordsbridge Team has branched out into facilitating worship online across the team. The COVID pandemic was a big catalyst in this, requiring us to think of new and imaginative ways of worshipping together. Below are a selection of ways we choose to facilitate worship online.

Worship at Home written resources

Worship at home service sheets are created on a weekly basis and are uploaded to the website. To access these service sheets, please click here.

Zoom service

The team runs a weekly Zoom service on a Sunday morning for those whom worshipping at home is important or for those who for whatever reason cannot make it to a physical church service on a Sunday. The service is open and available to everyone via this link Please contact David Newton if you would like further information.

Occasionally, the team will produce audio resources in the form of a podcast. At the height of the pandemic, we produced weekly audio services including hymns, reflections, and prayers. Going forward, the audio resources provided will centre around specific festivals and occasions within the church (Lent, Easter, Advent, Christmas, Thy Kingdom Come etc).

Video services

The team is equipped to create Worship at Home video services. Throughout the early part of 2020 this was the primary way of facilitating worship at home, however video services were replaced by audio services into 2021. The team produces video resources for a number of special occasions: licensing services and special feasts and festivals. A selection of the Lordsbridge Team Worship at Home services can be found on our YouTube playlist here.

Lordsbridge seminars

In Spring 2021, the team embarked on a series of Lordsbridge seminars. The first of these was from Rick Nelms, member of St Mary’s Comberton. Rick is artist-in-residence at Under The Thinking Tree, and since having a career in biology and education cut short by the onset of motor neurone disease has taken up ‘painting without brushes’. A recording of his seminar can be found below, and the accompanying PDF here: Painting without brushes PDF guide

Hymns of worship

Another aspect of the Lordsbridge Team YouTube page is the editing and distribution of hymns of worship to accompany written service sheets. We have so far created a library of 28 hymns that are available to view in this playlist on our YouTube channel.

A big thank you must go to St Martin-in-the-Fields who have made their music available for church use during the pandemic.
