St Mary’s Church, Hardwick has three main worshipping communities. One meets weekly on a Sunday morning. Wild Church meets monthly on a Sunday afternoon in the church grounds. A third community meets on a Tuesday morning at The Cabin, for parents/carers and under 5s. A group also meets mid-week for morning prayer. St Mary’s has a newly built hall on site, called The Cabin, which together with its beautiful grounds is a resource for the whole village and beyond.
St Mary’s holds special services across the year to celebrate the seasons, as well as various events that bring the whole village together, such as the church fete and summer afternoons (an outdoor café with family activities). Baptisms, weddings, and funerals are also a regular part of the church’s life. The Church has a strong ethos for caring for God’s creation and has been awarded a Bronze Award from Eco Church.
