The Team Council AGM will take place on Wednesday 26th February, 7.00pm at The Cabin, Hardwick. This meeting is open to everyone who lives in the parishes in the Team area. Please come along and hear news from across the parishes in the Team, as well as to hear about the work done centrally to help support and enable the mission and ministry of the parishes.

Leading your Church into Growth (LyCiG) is for clergy and lay leaders from across church traditions who are looking for encouragement and equipping in leading their churches into growth.

The LyCiG Ely Diocese conference is taking place over the weekend of 15 & 16 March 2025. The conference is much more effective if there is more than one person from a benefice attending. It means that these people can make plans and decide next steps. To support this, the cost of the conference is being covered by the diocese.

If you would be interested in attending this conference, please speak to your Team Vicar. Several people from across the Team are already planning to attend, so arranging lifts will be possible.

A highlight of the WCCYM year – the WCCYM weekend returns! 48hrs of intense fun, faith-filled conversations and gunge!

Running from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd March, we will be heading to Burwell House once again. This will be for anyone in school years 7 to 13 and will be a great opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a deeper way, or even exploring it for the first time.

This month Rev’d Howard Bigg will be leaving St Mary’s, Hardwick after serving the church for many years, as he moves away from the Team. To say goodbye to Howard, St Mary’s will be hosting a Farewell Afternoon Tea at the Cabin, on Sunday 9th February, 4.00-6.00pm. Everyone is most welcome!

We join with St Mary’s and the wider Team to thank Howard very much for his many years of service to the church and wish him every blessing in his new home.

Comberton and Toft parishes are currently in vacancy (awaiting a new Team Rector), but that doesn’t mean that they’ve stopped doing things – quite the opposite! Alongside their regular services, here we spotlight three other activities that take place in these parishes.

Please continue to hold the parishes in your prayers during this time of vacancy, and particularly the ministry teams and volunteers that continue to keep them running so smoothly.

Comberton Men’s Shed meets at Madingley Hall each Wednesday from 11am-1pm for tea, chat and DIY projects. Either bring your own or join in with ongoing community projects. So far we have mended gates, topped posts, built bird boxes, created props and carved signs. It is a friendly group of mostly older men who exchange ideas and share stories while pottering in a community shed.

All are welcome, contact Rev Barnabas for more details.

Toft Warm Hub has been running for a few years between the clock changes to provide a warm space to socialise in the colder months. We meet in the Methodist Chapel in Toft, Mondays from 10am-12pm, and there is always a jigsaw puzzle going and/or a game of scrabble to join! Free refreshments and lots of friendly chat with Toft residents and visitors alike.

Oasis Teas meets in Comberton Village Hall on the fourth Thursday of each month, next one is February 27th at 2.30pm. Time for tea, chat, an optional quiz and a guest speaker on a thought-provoking topic. No charge and you’re guaranteed to make new friends!
